The cultural hub of Rajasthan has birthed many creative greats, and the vibrant landscape will now play host to Hèrmosa Design Studio’s expansive empire.

The décor haven has been credited with revolutionizing the furnishing experience for modern home-owners, and the brand seeks to push the envelope further by scaling up its manufacturing unit in Kota, Rajasthan by 4.5 fold.

Clocking in at 2,00,000 sq. ft. of area, the sprawling space plays host to more than just machinery and equipment. The Kota headquarters has been designed with the signature hallmarks of the brand’s futuristic thinking and quest for innovation. The infrastructure has been supplemented with state-of-the-art machinery imported from Germany and Italy.

The facility’s impact on the environment has also been taken into consideration. In a bid to make the space cognisant of the workers’ needs, a network of dust collectors has been installed to afford their safety as the top priority. The products themselves are crafted in an automated environment using artificial intelligence (AI) that significantly reduces the margin of manual error.

Thomas Rasch was recently appointed Chief Operations Officer at Hèrmosa Design Studio. He comes with a vast and varied career history and has demonstrated effective technical competence in international project management. He has over 20 years of expertise in high-quality interior outfitting and has undertaken several projects for aircraft, yachts, hotels and furniture. He also specializes in surface technology and has efficiently lead and managed teams as a senior executive. Thomas has worked with international organizations across the globe and that is ubiquitous in his work.

He will now primarily oversee and administer the day-to-day operational aspects at Hèrmosa Design Studio to deliver timelessly elegant yet contemporary furniture with a focus on both form and function. He believes that the adoption of a dual approach with the two segments - Hermosa and Furnmill, will open up a much larger customer market for the brand and lend it a competitive edge over other market players.

“We attach great importance to the designs, specifically to the technical aspects of it. Engineering is the key to create quality furniture. It is a thoroughly time-consuming process that sometimes takes weeks and several attempts to design and build an optimal piece of furniture. Only after extensive tests and improvements, it is launched and made available in the consumer market. Years of experience as a high-quality furniture maker makes it easier for Hèrmosa to respond quickly and flexibly to the market demand”, he says.

The brand’s investment in the future of furniture design has been drafted with the end goal of supplying modern home-owners with highly durable, customizable and bespoke products that they can invite into their homes with pride..
