Must Know Artist: Shrikant Kadam
Shrikant Kadam was born in 1973 in Maharashtra. He has graduated with a General Diploma (1995), B.F.A (2008) from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune. He has a Diploma in Art Education (1996) from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. He has won numerous awards and accolades, most notably the ‘Abhyudaya Sanman’ Kalavart Nyas in Ujjaini, Madhya Pradesh in 2003. Shrikant is an abstract artist who portrays nature in his paintings. He wants to convey vibrations of the change that nature undergoes when seasons change. He is a trekker and the colors, sounds, vistas he observes are an inspiration for him. Shrikant’s energy is translated into his paintings, and the viewer can see vibrant hues which create ‘a drama’ on the canvas.
